Common Contact Lens Questions (FAQ)
How long does a fitting take?
A contact lens fitting usually takes 20 to 30 minutes, depending on your experience and needs. If it’s your first time, we take extra time to guide you through handling and care. After a few days with your trial lenses, we schedule a short follow-up to make any adjustments.
Can I try lenses even if I’ve never worn them?
Absolutely! First-timers are more than welcome. We specialize in guiding new wearers through every step — from choosing the right lens type to inserting and removing them comfortably. You’ll leave confident and with a free trial pair to test at home.
Will I need to buy anything on the day?
Not at all. Your first fitting includes a free trial pair and lens care guidance. If you’re happy with the lenses after your trial, we can help you order your first full box — but there’s no obligation to purchase on the day of your fitting.
What if the first lenses don’t feel right?
That’s exactly what the trial period is for! If something feels off — whether it’s dryness, blurriness, or discomfort — we’ll adjust your prescription or switch to a different lens type. Your comfort and eye health come first, and we won’t stop until we find the perfect fit.
Are fittings covered by insurance?
In many cases, yes. Some Swiss health insurance plans will cover part of the contact lens fitting or the lenses themselves, especially if there’s a medical reason. We’re happy to provide a receipt and documentation for reimbursement — just ask us during your visit.
